Hexadecimal View

The Hexadecimal View shows the file in hexadecimal numbers. Every byte is represented by a value in the range 00 - FF.

Example: Typing 7A in the Hexadecimal View will set the value of a byte to 7A in hexadecimal numbers (the character z). Typing a z in the Text View, or 122 in the Decimal View, has the same result.

Keys in this view are:
0 to 9
a to f
A to F
You can use these keys to enter a number. Pressing one of these keys will not insert a byte.
Backspace Backspace is not available in this view.
Delete Deletes the byte at the cursor position. If the file size is protected with Keep File Size at... the byte is filled with the fill character (Options Menu).
